Presented for your consideration this lovely very interesting unusual yellow ware water pitcher. I have had this pitcher in my collection for many years and try as I might. I could not find another any where. It has the classic aesthetic movement form with its bulbous bottom and flat top. It is embossed with an aesthetic movement decor with its all over design of geometric patterns Asian influences i.e. bamboo, fans and flowers. All on a dark mustard yellow background with gilded highlights. Pitcher measures 7-1/8 inches tall and approximately 6-1/2 inches in diameter at it's widest. The pitcher is unmarked. It is in excellent antique condition, not cracks, chips or repairs, there is a tiny hairline on the inside top rim, that may just be stress line. The larger-water or coffee pitcher has overlapping green string beans and flower with foliage design overlapping the body on the front and back side with yellow in color structured background.Inside gla glaze is in very nice purple pink color. The bottom has been designed in brown basket wave design.The handle is in nice light bluegreen color. Rare Antique Vintage Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China Pitcher
In about 1853. At age 28, Lewis Henry Meakin left a successful plumbing business to embark upon a china manufacturing business venture with John Farrall. The pottery and china industry was very competitive and their business on Cannon Street, Shelton, Stoke-upon-Trent, England, was short lived. They declared bankruptcy and closed their doors on August 3, 1855. It is not known how many pieces of china Lewis H. Meakin and John Farrall produced. But surviving pieces are extremely rare. Soon after the china business failure Lewis Henry Meakin moved his family to America, and lived out his remaining years in Ohio. His son, also Lewis Henry Meakin, born in 1850, was a fairly well-known US landscape painter. John Farrall went on to work at another china manufacturer in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China is extremely rare. ... moreAnd to find a piece in good condition is rare indeed. This pitcher is one of the very few remaining pieces produced by Lewis H Meakin at the Ironstone China Company between 1853 and 1855, in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. The pitcher is approximately 9 inches tall. And 8 inches from the end of the spout to the end of the handle. The pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The glaze is crazed on both the inside and the outside of the pitcher, which would be normal for a ceramic pitcher approaching 160 years old. A close up of the crazing is shown in the photo of the bottom of the pitcher. The pitcher is slightly stained on both the inside and the outside. The inside is more heavily stained, but not quite as dark as it appears in the photo of the inside. The best illustration of the true color of the pitcher is represented in the first picture. From the lack of wear on the base and the staining it would be easy to assume that this pitcher has spent most of its life on a shelf with dust laying on the inside for a long period of time.

This is a unique and rare Antique White Porcelain Cherub Relief Pitcher with Brass Base. It stands 7.5" tall and spans 6.5" from handle to spout. the attached brass base is 4.5" round with 5 round ball feet. the handle is 5" x 2" and is painted with gold grape leaves. There is also gold painted trim. There is a cherub on the front and back with grapes snd leaves also in the design. There is some discoloration in the glaze sich as pink at the bottom and some beige near the cherub. These are from the manufacturing of the item. Shipping includes insurance.

Unmarked as many were of the early period, with light sign of wear and two very small nicks on the rim( impossible to photo so do not ask for additional pix.there are NONE) The work is otherwise in good condition and measure 4.25 inches high 5 inches wide from spout to handle and 1.5 inches deep. Basaltes ware. Also called Black Basaltes, basaltes also spelled Basalt, hard black vitreous stone ware, named after the volcanic rock basalt and manufactured by Joshiah Wedgwood at Etruria, Staffordshire, Eng. from about 1768. Wedgwood black basaltes ware was an improvement on the stained earthenware known as“Egyptian black” made by other Stafford shire potters. It may be an early picture of the so-called Crown of Otto the Great. Alias the Imperial Crown. This crown was kept in the castle of Trifels. The crown on the seal suggests that Henry Raspe did have access to the treasury of Trifels. Seal of the city of Gelnhausen. Seal: The king and his queen consort. Crowned, the king with lily-sceptre and orb, the queen with a lily-sceptre; sitting within a vaulted structure, probably symbolizing Rome. L. X SIGILLVM• SCULTETI• ET• CIVIVM• DE• GEILENHVSEN. Date: before 1248. Æ 7.6 cm. Antique Royal Doulton Lambeth Hunting Scene Rare Dog Handle, Pitcher
This is a lovely fine English pitcher. From the 1800's with applied figures. Around the plumpest part of the belly are horses, hunting scenes and dogs. The deep red iron oxide glaze glows orangy brown on the yellow clay of the stoneware body, while it changes to a nice ochre where the dip covered the figural decoration. The rare handle is applied, and is a wonderfully formed hunting dog. Condition of this beautiful pitcher is good with one small chip on the lip. And firing lines where the spout is joined which is typical in the manufacture of these pieces. The mark is"Doulton Lambeth England" This lovely English pitcher measures about 6 3/4" tall and about 71/2" wide. Rare Antique 1890's Pitcher Empire Trenton NJ
This is a very beautiful antique porcelain water pitcher circa 1890 made by Empire Trenton. NJ. This 11" tall 9" wide piece features the June Rose pattern. This 100 year+ pitcher is amazingly chip free, however along with generalized crazing, there are several small hairline cracks in the glaze near the rim(they do not penetrate) and what appears to be a water line discoloration on the bottom half of the pitcher. This pitcher full of fresh daisies makes a gorgeous summer centerpiece, or in it's original function in a bedroom as a washing accessory it's perfect. US shipping.

Ebay Listing Page Antique Staffordshire Floral Brown Transferware Wash Bowl& Pitcher Item Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique transfer decorated wash bowl and pitcher set manufactured in Staffordshire. England during the early to mid 1800s. The wash bowl and pitcher have large floral sprays with a printed geometric and floral background in brown transfer print. I do not know the exact name or manufacturer of this set, but it reminds of the patterns Minton produced in the early 1800s. Neither piece is marked. The bowl is scalloped and measures approximately 13" in diameter and stands about 4 1/2" tall. The pitcher stands approximately 10 5/8" tall and it has a nice sculpted handle with a squat paneled form. Item Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. It is very clean and I see no chips. Cracks, ... moreor repaired areas except for a 1/2" chip on the foot rim of the pitcher that could easiyl be restored or left as is. The transfer details and color are strong with little to no wear and the glaze is glossy with no crazing, rubbing, or glaze loss except for the base rims which have standard rubbing. FLOWERS AND LEAVES, RAISED DOTS WERE ALL PUT ON BY HAND. THERE IS ONE VERY SMALL CHIP ON TOP, NOT NOTICEABLE. I TOOK A PICTURE OF IT, BUT IT IS HARD TO SEE. GORGEOUS FOR BEING OVER 115 YEARS OLD! APPRASIED AT OVER $300 BY LOCAL AUCTION HOUSE. INFO ON RSPRUSSIA.NET. There are two parts to this mark. A squashed ellipse and an arrow. The former is thought to be a mining symbol, the latter a weapons symbol. This is a beautiful English copper luster creamer/ pitcher! Circa 1890-1900. It is in excellent condition! Looks almost new but it's over 100 years old! Notice the FACE in the spout of the pitcher! Hi. Up for bid is this beautiful flowered pitcher, could be Transferware.I did alot of research on this and I came up with: It was made by W.A.A. Co. This stands for William Alsager Adderley& Co. Trade Mark England, Azalea Groups. I believe it was made around 1850-1899. This looks to be made of Porcelain or Ceramic. It has flowers around the sides with gold color on the handle, around the top rim and around the base rim. Marked on bottom: Royal, Adderley, 3627. WOW! Here is an amazing salt glaze stoneware pottery pitcher by Jones& Walley. The cartouche on the bottom states: Published July 1 1842 BY Jones& Walley Gipsey 24. Given that this pitcher is 170 years old. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs on the pitcher. There is a small crack on the seal on the bottom. It depicts on one side a family in a forest. On the other there is a witch by a coldron. The color is buff/ green which is what Jones* Walley were known for. They broke up their partnership in 1845! Antique G W Turner & Sons Pitcher Bowl Benedick Pattern VGC Rare Pottery Ca 1880
For your consideration.This is an antique(Ca. 1875-1893) G.W. Turner& Sons Benedick transfer pattern pitcher(ewer) and bowl set in blue and white in overall very good antique condition.The bowl measures at 14 1/2" in diameter and 5" in height.The pitcher/ewer measures at 10 7/8" in height,8" in diameter at the widest parts of the bowl(not including handle) and the square spout opening is 4 1/4" wide.This was a part of the"Aesthtic Movement" production that was popular at the time.G.W. Turner& Sons pottery works were located in Tunstall,England and they produced pottery from 1875-1893. There is one flaw on the rim of the bowl that may either be a small chip(1/8" diameter) or could have been the result of production.I'll call it a chip to be safe.See the last picture for your assessment.There ... moreis crazing to the glaze across both pieces and some spurious.Minor(my opinion-refer to pictures for your personal assessment) manufacturing issues-a few stray blue marks and two minor surface imperfections on the pitcher(bottom and side-please look at pictures)Overall the set is in very good antique condition and difficult to find.
