On the bottom edge is a rice-sized glaze miss that should have been smoothed off when they made it so long ago. The gold trim is worn. The makers mark is blurred. Two pieces of antique/vintage stone china. I believe the back stamp reads"Astbury& Maddock" judge for yourself) The soap dish is in fine shape which includes the original strainer. the strainer is sta ined but has no cracks or chips nor does the lid or soap dish. The soap dish interior and outside lower part(below the pink and gold line) is heavily crazed. The second piece has holes in the bottom. Perhaps a toothbrush holder, and is stained on the upper rim. Chances are there was an under dish for the holder. When I saw this piece it had a bouquet of artificial flowers in it which hid the stain and I didn't even notice the perforated bottom until the flowers were removed. Questions? It is in excellent vintage condition with few small color losses and some roughness, but no chips, cracks or repairs. It stands approximately 7" tall and is about 3.5" wide at its widest point. Rare Antique Vintage Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China Pitcher
In about 1853. At age 28, Lewis Henry Meakin left a successful plumbing business to embark upon a china manufacturing business venture with John Farrall. The pottery and china industry was very competitive and their business on Cannon Street, Shelton, Stoke-upon-Trent, England, was short lived. They declared bankruptcy and closed their doors on August 3, 1855. It is not known how many pieces of china Lewis H. Meakin and John Farrall produced. But surviving pieces are extremely rare. Soon after the china business failure Lewis Henry Meakin moved his family to America, and lived out his remaining years in Ohio. His son, also Lewis Henry Meakin, born in 1850, was a fairly well-known US landscape painter. John Farrall went on to work at another china manufacturer in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China is extremely rare. ... moreAnd to find a piece in good condition is rare indeed. This pitcher is one of the very few remaining pieces produced by Lewis H Meakin at the Ironstone China Company between 1853 and 1855, in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. The pitcher is approximately 9 inches tall. And 8 inches from the end of the spout to the end of the handle. The pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The glaze is crazed on both the inside and the outside of the pitcher, which would be normal for a ceramic pitcher approaching 160 years old. A close up of the crazing is shown in the photo of the bottom of the pitcher. The pitcher is slightly stained on both the inside and the outside. The inside is more heavily stained, but not quite as dark as it appears in the photo of the inside. The best illustration of the true color of the pitcher is represented in the first picture. From the lack of wear on the base and the staining it would be easy to assume that this pitcher has spent most of its life on a shelf with dust laying on the inside for a long period of time.

Great Primitive Yellow Ware Pitcher I have had this pitcher for a very long time. Its time to let it go. The pitcher if very heavy and a bright shade of mustard yellow. I think the third picture shows the true color of the pitcher the best. No cracks or chips. There is crazing throughout the pitcher and glaze lines. The handle looks applied and the base is ribbed. It appears very primitive due the crudeness of the pottery. Meaning there are a lot of pottery lines and unevenness. There are rough lines inside the pitcher. Antique/Vintage Pink Floral Hand Painted Lrg Pitcher Unmarked Porcelain Pottery
This auction is for an antique hand painted floral pink& white pitcher. The pitcher is very old. Most likely from between 1900-1940, but possibly earlier. The piece is unmarked. There is visible damage due to its very old age but the pitcher is still so pretty it is still worth displaying as it is. There is severe crazing and cracks throughout. There is a large crack on the front that starts at the rim and goes down and stops at the floral area. There is also a chip on the tip of the pitcher spout. You can see all of these areas in the pictures. The pitcher is still very well in tact and does not run the risk of cracking any more as long as it is taken care of. It is made of a very thick, durable and firm porcelain glass- that is why it has lasted all these years in spite of the rough handling it has taken. Antique Vintage Warwick Pitcher 1 Quart 9.5 Inch 10GA Brown Flowers Both Sides
This pitcher came from an auction in Vermont. It is marked 10GA Warwick on the bottom. Warwick was out of Wheeling. West Virginia from 1887 through 1951. The pitcher has the brown shading background with light flowers on each side. It measures 9 1/2" high to the top of the spout. 6 1/2" from the handle to the tip of the spout, and about 5" in diameter at the widest point. It has some wear, see all pictures. There is a chip on the handle, see the 10th pictures, and a couple of surface chips/wear, see the 5th and 11th picture. The pitcher holds 4 cups when full. There is crackling in the glaze.

Vintage Antique French figural pitcher in shape of monk friar toby Hallmarked
Friar monk shaped figural pitcher antique vintage old This fellow stands about 8.25 inches tall and about 5 inches across. He is closer to 7 inches at the widest point including the handle. the base is 4 inches across and the opening is 2.75 across ad 4 inches from back to mouth edge. there is a hallmark on the base indicating it is French as best I can read it says Caeil et Montreau inside a cup shape and depose he looks like he has some small blemishes. And wear marks-scuffs on the base, but there was also a note taped to the bottom that said"repaired" I am not sure where the repair is, but I think it is the handle which pretty much makes him into a display piece only in my opinion.
