2 Antique 63" Cast Iron Square Fluted Industrial Architectural Columns Philadelp
Incredible pair of antique cast iron industrial square fluted columns. Each column measures over 5' tall(63" 12" square at the base, and 10" at the top. Deep fluting on each side, great honest patina. One has more paint left on it than the other. I'm sure these must date to before the turn of the century, as they must weigh upwards of 3 to 4 hundred pounds each. I'm told these came from a major salvage job some years ago in Philadelphia, PA. Very minimal amount of casting flaws. No cracks or breaks. A few very small chips or flaws, but nothing to speak of. This pair of columns would look incredible as is in an outdoor space or blasted and refinished for a really dramatic touch to any room. Don't miss out on this large, unique pair. Prefer local pickup in the NYC area but willing to freight, as well.

Architectural Wood Pillar, Column Stand, Vintage Antique
Offered is a very nice antique vintage wood pillar or column. It is footed and measures about 29 3/4" tall. The round surface measures about 10" in diameter. The base measures about 18" from foot to foot. I believe the wood it is made out of is oak. It is in great shape. But it has scratches and dings typical from a piece of this age. The surface of the top has a lot of wear. This pillar would make a great plant stand or a stand for statuary. A very nice addition to your collection.

Antique Architectural Salvage Weathered Column Cap - weathered, Rustic Decor
If this column cap could talk. I would be willing to bet it has more sordid stories and harrowing tales than Rob Ford. This exquisitely ornate, gorgeously weathered column cap is a magnificent piece of historic salvage. Chipped, peeling paint unearth the gritty texture hidden beneath the bone white exterior. The imperfect details, like cracked corners and a slight lean, give it character, while the flourishing curliques and imposing European charm belie what must have been a wealthy past in a building of grand stature. Shockingly, this isn't as heavy as you might expect(around 20 lbs, easy enough for this admittedly weak-armed shopkeep to lift) which makes it easy to repurpose for plenty of uses. My first thought was that this would be an incredible, one-of-a-kind pedestal for a Christmas tree, either real or fake(though you might need ... moreto slip something underneath one side to make it a bit more stable and cure the lean) However, if you have a bigger table, it would make an incredible centerpiece on its own, and could easily be accented with a candelabra, tealights, or bottlebrush trees. Year round, use it as a plant stand, small accent table, or just as salvage-chic decor. Measures approximately 14.5" wide. 15" tall. Please note: the paint is incredibly delicate and chips very easily. In person pickup is highly recommended. But I will be happy to ship. Here we have a matching pair of wonderful antique architectural or furniture detail pieces probably hand carved and made of wood. These pieces feature beautifully carved lion or dog heads atop an"S" shaped curve with a spiral motif at the bottom. These would be great to re-purpose into a piece of furniture. Shelf supports or whatever you can imagine. Measuring approximately 23 1/2" high and 1 7/8" wide, if mounted against a wall they would measure about 7 3/4" at the top of the lions heads, the furthest point from the wall. ~ Huge 19c Antique Figural Lion Fragments ~ Fabulous Very old wood carved pair of roaring lions that appear to have come from a table. As there are several dowells throughout. I would date them to the late 1800's, early 1900's. These pieces are really large measuring 26" Tall and are solid. I'm not certain as to the type of wood. I have not seen anything like them in quite sometime and they are becoming more difficult to find. They would make a great brackets for a wall shelf or decorative conversation pieces. Antique Architectural Newel Post Base Banister Base Tiger Oak Great Pedestal Too A 26 years long time antique dealer in this area is closing her doors for good. And I actually spent two days picking this weekend through her stuff. She specialized in very old primitives, but I was able to grab a little bit for everyone– I have some fabulous advertising, industrial, retro, deco, lots of store displays and apothecary too– you don’t want to miss this week! WOW. Do I love this one! It's a beautiful antique architectural piece for you. A post bottom of base of some sorts- it's 12 1/2 lbs heavy and in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition- totally strong. Wouldn't it make a wonderful pedestal for your pretty? It's hollow on the inside, as you can see in my photos, with a solid wood base that has a single small hole at the ... morebottom, and numbers that are impressed in the wood- there's 18243, and then there's 396. I do not know the maker. You can also see wood pegs on the underside too- see photo 21- they are lighter in color and round. It measures 9 7/8" square at the base, 7 1/2" square at the body and 8 7/8' square at the top. The opening at the top is 4 1/4" square. It's 12 1/2" tall. I'm showing it next to my footstool in photo 2 for a size reference. The piece is covered with a tiger oak veneer, and you can see that there's one row of a carved look veneer just above the base- see photo 16. I do not know what the body wood is, but it's hard wood, and it even could be oak- see my top and bottom photos and what you think, as I am not sure. The patina is dark and shows a fair amount of wear to the finish- more aligatored crackles from age than anything. There's one corner that has a chip to the veneer- I'm showing it from one side in photo 19 and from the other side in photo 20. The photo 19 side chip is about 1" by 1" while the two chips on the other side are about 1/4" and 1/8" There's some other small spots and corn

Well. It's time to sell the house(1902 Victorian) so am cleaning out the place. Starting at the top and working down. Lots of old wood stored on the third and fourth floors and this is the first lot to go. Offered is a batch of 9/16 inch thick wainscoting. Beadboard, or beaded porch ceiling. The pieces are about 33 inches long and the coverage is 3 1/8 to 3 1/4 wide. There are 192 pieces total in the lot, for a linear coverage of about 50 feet at the 33 inch height. If you need more, I may come across more that is similar, but from another lot. This wood does not appear to have any finish on it. There is a very nice patina. And it could stand a mild scrubbing. There is some very light paint spattering, but I believe that it will clean off nicely with steel wool, might just scrub off. If you need. This is a beautiful antique ornate carved wood architectural salvage column top which can also be used as a display shelf. I'm fairly certain it dates from the late 19th century. 1880s or 1890s. It measures 7 7/8 inches tall(20 cm) Depending on which you call the top or the bottom. One measures 12 5/8 inches x 5 1/2 inches(32 cm x 14 cm) and the other measures 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/4 inches(21.6 cm x 8.3 cm) Given its many fleur de lis and the way it was made. I believe it's French. There are no nails, only glue, wood pegs and splining. There is a 1 inch(2.54 cm) x 1/4 inch(63 cm) chipped off piece of wood in the center a few inches from the top(or bottom) One of the large pieces of carving in the corner has a scrape to the front(please see photo) Other than this. There are a few dents, nicks, chips, scratches, scuff marks and age-related ... morecracks. But overall, it's a great looking piece and is very sturdy. It measures 53.75 inches tall. Is 8 inches square at the base and 6 inches square at the shaft. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. Antique Solid Wood Staircase Newel Post Column Architectural Salvage This antique staircase column came from a public building in PA. It is in solid condition. Has some weight to it(20 lbs) and is 45' high with the square sections measuring 4 3/4' across. The post stands by itself and is level. The floor in my butler's pantry of our 100+ year old house is way off, not the column. There are a couple of places where there is a crack although solid and nothing moving. There is a'slice' out of the top ball as shown. All of these flaws are fixable if desired. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian Home. It is made of oak and is unpainted. It has its original finial at the top. The shaft has three raised panels on each side. It is not notches for the step. It measures 57.25 inches tall by 8 inches square at the base and 6 square at the shaft. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are some light chips here and there. There are some nail holes.
