This piece came from Europe and is truly Baroque style. This is very ornately hand carved. The drip pans for the umbrella stands are missing and there is a split in the bottom shelf that runs across where the drip pans would be. There are 4 wooden dowels that serve as racks to hold hats or coats on the upper portion of the stand. Originally I believe there were 6 racks but looks like 2 are missing. There is a long oval mirror in the center upper portion of the back. The mirror looks very old. It may be the original mirror. There is a lot of discoloration around the edges of the mirror. There is a glove box in the center of the stand with a hinged lid. There are bun feet on the front. This item is in great condition for being 200 years old however it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know the exact age or who made it. This stand measures 76 7/8 inches tall, 30 ¾ inches side to side and 14 ¾ inches front to back. It weighs 54 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. This"Charles Eastlake" style lady's dresser has been in our family for more than 140 years. It belonged to my great grandmother. A gift from her new husband on their wedding day in the early 1870s. She was 15; he, 31. The dresser is made from deep red cherry or mahogany wood. The piece is in wonderful condition except for a few minor flaws(shown) For five generations of women, it has never been used for anything but its original purpose, a lady's vanity above and three-drawer clothes chest below. A 7 3/4 x 16 1/4 inch marble insert is centered on the top front surface. In addition to three large drawers below. It has jewelry or glove drawers on each side of the top and two small knick-knack shelves on either side of the mirror. The total height from the original porcelain casters to the rounded finial on top is 75 inches. ... moreThe maximum depth from front to back is 18 1/2 inches and the width is 35 1/4 inches. The mirror is on a swivel. Allowing it to be adjusted back and forth vertically. The mirror dimensions are 11 1/4 x 19 inches and the unbeveled glass is too clear to be original. The three drawers below have interior dimensions of 29 inches wide, 13 1/2 deep. The front of each lower drawer has a burled inset(probably faux) typical of Eastlake furniture. The glove and jewelry drawers are 6 1/2 inches wide, 13 1/2 inches deep. All 8 knobs are original. This dresser was manufactured in an American factory or shop. Probably in the Midwest, following design concepts of English architect and designer Charles Eastlake. His ideas were disseminated in his book Hints on Household Taste in Furniture. Upholstery and other Details, first published in England in 1868. And then in United States in 1872. Eastlake pieces, though contemporary with Victorian furniture, 1870-1890, are actually anti-Victorian. He called for angular, notched and carved pieces, deliberately opposed to the curved shapesof French Baroque Revival Styles prevalent in the Victorian era. for sale a wonderful pierced carved victorian rococo walnut dresser vanity or possibly a shaving stand. depends on what you want as to what you call it. it is a great piece presented in original finish with wonderful patina. it is in near mint condition with the exception of a small repair. Looks as if screws have been replaced on one of the back swivel mount pieces. there are no weakness or problem and the function is perfect, but it has been tweaked a bit. it is 30 inches wide and sits on great carved rococo feet. the base has three hinged caskets for whatever you want to put in them. it is 12 inches deep, extending one inch behind the mirror base. the mirror base and harp are of wonderful form and design. the base and harp are pierced carved in the finest fashion. it is 33 inches in overall height. the harp houses an oval frame which contains ... morethe original mirror that is nearly perfect. there is the minutest amount of sliver loss. these are hard to find especially in the shape this one is in. the three caskets are a 9.5 inch oval in the center and two 6.5 inch round ones on either side of the central oval one. someone will be proud to own this great piece. it may be picked up at my home and shipped at buyer's expense. i have owned about 4 of these in 40 years, none any nicer than this one, but all sold for a lot more than i am starting this one at. i had one that i had a little dresser base for it to sit on. it sold for about 3000 a few years back. anyway, if you are on your toes you can get a bargain here. a rare and fair find and wonderful in every way.

American Empire Antique Wig Chest Dresser Crotch Flame Mahogany~Marble Top 1825
Here we have a very Rare Empire Dresser for your consideration. This is a very fine Wishbone Mirrored Dresser with side wig curio cabinets. These dressers have always been the Cadilac of Empire Dressers. But this one is one of the finest we have ever seen. The burled or Flame Mahogany is fantastic. The colors are just beautiful. We do not have the exact history. But the party we bought the dresser from, told us that this dresser was saved in Katrina from the Huricane in New Orleans. It was transported north and sold to raise money for the people who once owned it there. We bought it from the next party who purchased it. The dresser is of such fine quality, and has all original parts. The only thing it may need is some new screws in the back when the wig cabinets mount. At the moment it is all assembled and they were not needed. But when the ... moredresser comes to its new home, that is one addition we would suggest is new screws in the back area. The wood on every side is pristine on this piece. The only thing you would find is normal wear from a dresser of such a grand age. All that is needed is a nice polish and this piece is ready to set up and be displayed with pride. The dresser is 77" tall by 43" wide by 21" deep. The mirror attaches on each curio side with wooden screws and original knobs. The drawer fronts have the carving at the top and bottoms and the matched grain of the wood is outstanding. This piece could be by the famous cabinet maker Thomas Day. As even the sides of the dresser have fantastic matched graining. The hand made dove tails and brass locks, are all top notch and fine quality. The marble top inset is beautiful thick Italian Marble with nice grain and detail. There are no chips, nor cracks on the marble. It could use a polish from a marble professional. But the patina and wear only adds charactor to the piece. Antique Big Victorian Bedroom Decor Furniture Dresser 1850 Mirror Brush Set
Hello- This is a very special True Victorian Hairbrush Mirror from at the LATEST 1850! The Amber-Yellow glass indicates this. And is never reproduced. When looking into the Etched Amber Glass, Your face is surrounded by the flowers just like my camera is if you can imagine, and your face has an amber glow. I placed it on the 50's mirror so that you can see the difference in the glass's. The big round mirror is part of the set. The Victorian Curling is genuine, I'm not positive of it's age, But these were used even into the 1920's. The brush measures approx. 10" long x 3 1/3" at the widest. And has a wooden brush area to hold the bristles. The metal is a bit tarnished from age, a magnet does not stick to it and I don't know what kind of metal it is. There is some loss to the etching of the flowers, but not ... moretoo much and is still in wonderful condition. The curling iron is approx. 10" long. With a thin crimping rod for"pin curl" size curls. The round mirror has some tarnishing from age. A magnet does not stick to it. The mirror measures approx. 12" long x 9" at the widest. This is another item I am listing for a neighbor/friend. His parents purchased this at an auction about 40 yrs ago and at that time it was said to be about 100 yrs old. He does not have any documentation to prove this although. He moved into a place a few yrs ago that had a leak in the roof which did some damage he did however totally restore it and resealed it. Up for consideration is a fine Swan Harped Quarter Cut Tiger Oak dresser. The dresser measures 75 1/4 inches high by 24 1/2 inches deep by 48 inches wide. The piece has all it's original hardware with brass bail handles.The highboy dresser measures 74 inches high by 24 inches deep by 36 inches wide. The mirror is fine condition. The piece has all it's original hardware with brass bail handles. Likewise the original beveled mirror. It is interesting to note that the dresser has an ultra clean back and interior of the drawers. This is remarkable considering it's age. The dresser has 3 parts- the mirror assembly. The marble mid-section, and the oak base cabinet. The mirror is attached with 2 wooden rear slats which extend to the base cabinet& screws that hold it rigid. The marble rests on the base. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The marble section is white with a thin grey lines from the stone. It is not composit or manufactured stone. It is clean, no chips, no repairs. The mirror rests on the rear of the top shelf which is over a marble galleried backsplash and opposing side sections. The flat top surface is clean& smooth white marble, all marble is matching and original to the piece. The base cabinet has 2 pull out drawers over 2 swing out doors which open to a large interior with a center horizontal shelf. The base has 1/4 round fluted columns which match the mirror and a center vertical with carving and a burled oval decoration. The pulls are brass, the locks work, a key is provided. As you can see this is profusely carved piece with flower and leaf detailing and lots of turned spindles. This is a two piece dresser with two cupboard doors to the base with two drawers above. The upper section is a double door food cupboard with single shelf to the interior. The pierced sections have been later backed with yellow fabric to provide a pleasing contrast- we can remove this if preferred. A stunning piece providing useful storage in any room. Cast bronze mounts, and Breche maroon marble top. It was made in Paris by the noted bronzier and cabinet maker, E. Kahn, in the late 19th century. It measures 44.5" wide, 33.75" tall and 22.25" deep, and has two drawers. A paper label on the top of the frame reads"Envoi de E Kahn& Cie 84 Avenue Ledru-Rollin, Paris" Kahn was a business associate of Francois Linke, and his finest designs regularly appear at major auction. Country French 1895 Antique Carved Oak Marble Top Chest. Beveled Mirror. An authentic 1895 era Country French marble top dresser or chest has a shaped and beveled mirror. And would make a wonderful vessel sink vanity. Hand carving in solid quarter sawn oak shows superior craftsmanship- artistic detailing, graceful curves and raised and shaped panels. The original finish is very well preserved on this European furniture. Waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the warm honeyed patina. Embossed brass hardware is original, drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. There is a tiny chip to the marble, which has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Antique Victorian Eastlake style marble top dresser with tilting mirror. It has a good original finish. There are some dry spots. And you may want to want to refinish it. I think it looks fine, but check out the photos. It is missing one roundel above the right candle stand and one bracket below the right candle stand. Please see photos. The door is a little tight in the opening and a small piece of trim on the right side at the top is damaged/missing. Please see photos. There is tight age crack on the top(see pic) and some small veneer losses to front columns and a couple of tiny spots elsewhere(see pics) Nice dark patina throughtout this piece on it's original finish. Beautiful mahogany case with fruitwood inlay that is really over the top done by very skilled craftsman.
