The chest has a polished pink granite top that just simply sits on top and has mitered angle corners. There are a couple of small chips in the granite at the edges. I am unsure of the age of the chest but would guess that it dates to 1920s to 1940 at the latest. It has glass drawer pulls, and has dovetail joints on the drawers, as well as a complex dovetail joint at the top, joining the framework together. The chest of drawers has a beautiful painted finish, with ... moregorgeous colors and some carved accent details. There are quite a few scuffs and light surface scratches and dings on the piece, and some small areas where the paint is chipping away. The paint has a nice crakling affect as well, which really adds to its vintage patina. I am unsure of its actual age, but it was manufactured by Peck & Hills Furniture Company. It has four drawers, all quite large, and a design that gives it a "chest on chest" appearance. The chest of drawers has a gorgeous fan motif pediment at the top of the back trim, and bracket feet at the bottom. The drawers have the original drop pull brass handles.

Antique 19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers - Dresser - Square Nails
It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. Fantastic antique New Hampshire Chippendale chest of drawers. Constructed from pine. This piece has been stained a beautiful deep reddish brown tone. The chest has five graduated doors, each with sturdy dovetail construction and brass willow mount pulls and escutcheons. The chest has a classic overhanging molded top, which is balance my simple bracketed feet at the piece's base. This chest probably dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. Overall. The chest is in fair to good antique condition, but does have some wear and dings commensurate with age and use. One of the escutcheons also has a break near the top, as you can see from the pictures below. Otherwise no significant damage or visible repairs. This chest stands 41" tall and measures 38 3/4" wide and 19 1/2" deep. This is a beautiful and quite rare antique miniature chest of drawers. It appears to be a furniture salesman's sample. The style appears to be an 18th century style. This piece is quite old and appears to be at least early 19th century and possibly earlier. Many of the drawers appear to be made from pieces of wooden antique cigar boxes. The chest of drawers measures 14" tall x 9 3/4" wide at widest point x 6" deep not including the handles. It has wear from use but overall has a great antique style and looks amazing. I am not sure you can see it in the pictures but the middle drawer and mirror have a thin light maple inlay around the perimeter. This piece is real craftmanship at it's finest. It has an awesome design with the middle drawer offset from the 2 side ones and the mirror support arms divided and elegantly curved. The whole thing sets on small bun feet. It measures about 27 1/2" tall by 19" wide by 10" deep. I wish I was a better photographer because I do not think these photos do it justice. My husband inherited it from a client approximately 20 years ago. He has since past and I do not know the complete history. It was in exellent condition when I met him and remained that was until we moved to a new home about six years ago. It was sitting over an A/C vent I do not know for sure but I believe that may have dried it out and caused the veneer to start chipping. If the right person knew how to fix or restore the veneer it would be perfect piece. The Green Italian Marble top is in pristiene condition. as are the drawers, legs and ornate brass fixtures. The top section has two narrow drawers over two doors that open to two cubbyholes each with slots and two narrow drawers. Below is the chest, the top with a pull forward mahogany writing frame and original green felt. Below are four graduated drawers. It retains all the original brass knobs, locks, and brass escutcheons. The case is on four turned mahogany legs, solid mahogany case boards. Superb Antique Pennsylvania Cherry Early Sheraton Chest Of Drawers Circa 1810's Western to Central Southern PA circa 1810-1820 Once you look at this chest of drawers. You will notice the excellent craftsmanship! this chest is built like a brick loo-house! it is finely finished, and well executed. the ring turned quarter columns and feet. Are typical of south central/western PA(Franklin County area and west to Bedford) and Northern Maryland. This is undoubtedly the nicest Sheraton Chest we have ever handled! The entire case is dovetailed constructed. Of solid cherry, the 2 board sides are solid, same with the top, which is applied, over a white cedar/pine 4 board slat frame which is dovetailed into the case. the bottom board is dovetailed into the base, which is two boards of white cedar/pine. The drawers are cherry with white cedar/pine ... moresecondary woods. And unusually nice tongue and groove board bottom, which are hand chamfered into the base of the drawer case. the drawer bottoms and back are nailed on with square cut nails. the drawers are all cockbeaded around the edges in cherry. And have diamond inlaid escutcheons. the ring turned feet are mortised up into the bottom of the case. And then nailed into the sides. the prolific use of white cedar/and pine as a secondary wood in this chest is quite unusual. Some have suggested that this chest is of New England Origin. However, upon examining the construction details, it is deduced this chest is indeed of Pennsylvania or Nothern Maryland origin. We had a walnut chippendale desk a few years ago. That came out of the Gettysburg, PA area with the nearly identical usage of white cedar/pine and same ring turned quarter columns. we believe the glass knobs are replacements of much earlier brass knobs. they are however. Very nice, and undamaged by the years. the finish is 100% original and untouched. And has mellowed over time to a nice warm red colour. there are absolutely no repairs and or restorations to speak of. the back has a few new round head nails to help hold

A very fine antique. Circa 1830's, Empire style solid and flame veneered mahogany tall chest of drawers. There are two bowed drawers over five graduated drawers. All retain their locks, five brass key holes(two brass missing) and twelve original brass bail pulls. The case is on front carved claw feet supporting tapered full found pillars having flame mahogany veneer, with carved capitols, and squared carved rosettes above. The drawer fronts are butterflied flame mahogany veneers, the drawer interiors in maple. The drawer undersides are chamfered. The solid mahogany case sides have recessed mahogany panels. Chest measures 58-1/4" tall by 45" wide by 24" deep. Excellent condition: original finish, some chipping to claw feet, minor veneer chips at top edge of two long drawers. Top two boards without cracks or ring spots.

Southern Chest Drawers Knox County Tennessee c 1810 Furniture Antique Hand Made
Selling a real piece of Southern folk art furniture from Knox County. Tennessee, c around 1800/ 1820. This is an example of the early rural cabinet maker's art. There are two small drawers side by side across the top above three larger single wide drawers. There is a handsome Chippendale style tall bracket base. The hand carved trim up and down the two sides is very Sheraton looking and executed by a man without a lathe in his cabinet shop. It has such PRESENCE! Antique English bow front regency chest of drawers with matched cross cut mahogany front. Pencil molding with turned mahogany pulls centered with etched mother of pearl inlay. The two over three dovetailed drawers rests on turned legs and a scalloped skirt. Dimensions are 47" in width, 20 1/4" in depth and 45" tall. This piece has a beautiful wood grain. Now about the age, I'm guessing, and I know just enough to be totally wrong. The size makes me think it was made in the days when there were no closets. The heft makes me think of Empire or Gothic furniture, and the look and the knobs seem American to me. So my guess would be mid 1800s, maybe 1840-1870-but what do I know? You decide for yourself, and ignore my misleading guesses. All the drawer pulls match and there is a key for the biggest drawer. Condition: You will see normal wear and tear-light scratches and stains-and there is a small crack on the top. I see nothing major or unexpected for a piece this size and age. You'll love it! This nicely made 1860s-80s ash wood chest of drawers measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 1/8” x 7 ¼” deep and appears to have original. Untouched varnished surface overall. The top and each drawer are framed by red striping with sprays of flowers hand painted in the middle. Each drawer has sweet turned walnut knobs and all appear to be original. The sides have extra nice cuts and the back is of thin sawn pine. Construction overall is butt wire nail with glue and there are scattered old nail and glue repairs.
