This beautiful piece was made in England around 1950 and is made from oak. There is a beveled oval mirror in the center. On either side of the seat are umbrella or stick holders with tin trays at the bottom. The hall tree has four standard solid brass hooks. Giving the hall tree a very Jacobean look are some small geometric wood decorations throughout. The seat lifts up to reveal a small storage space below. This hall tree is in very good condition with only very minor wear which you would expect from a piece of this age. It will make a functional and beautiful addition to any discerning home! Antique French Oak Marble Top and splash Washstand Wash Stand, Butler
This auction is for an Estate found antique wash stand. It would also work well as a Dinning room butler. The previous owners believed it was French and over 100 years old. The wood looks like flame mahogany or oak. I believe it has been varnished. The wood is very shiny. There is one drawer with a divider down the middle. The drawer opens from underneath. On the inside of the drawer there are some stains. It does open and close with a minimum of sticking. It could use some wax. The marble top is gray and white. The surface is a little rough and definitely could use a buffing. There are some small nicks and there is a crack along the back. You can see this in the 12th or last photo. Across the bottom. A pot board connects the four legs provided plenty of strength and stability to the washstand. The pot board's surface looks a little bubbled ... moreI believe from water sitting on it. The right front leg has a chip on one of the rings. You can see this in the 11th photo. I think the legs may have been shortened or they had a cap, rollers on them. The stand is 30" wide, 19" deep and 33" tall. The splash is 3-3/8" tall with the wood adding another 3/8" There is a paper label on the back of the drawer but most of it is gone. Foyer, or for storage in a living room, this antique dresser with slide is full of rustic charm! Originally made in England around the year 1890 it exhibits the character and elegance we come to expect from fine English antique furniture. The wood used is solid oak which has remained sturdy over all these years. The patina that has set in is attractive and warm in color. Much of the rustic ... morecharm that comes from this dresser are from the old marks and dings found throughout. They are quite prevalent especially on the sides and top. Some of these marks were probably caused by woodworm but they are long gone from the furniture. We often see these marks in antiques and they lend a look that cannot be duplicated. One of the more unique features of this piece is the brushing slide at the top. It was originally used to lay clothes out on while brushing the lint off them. This slide is covered in green felt. Also unique to this chest are the brass drop pulls. They have a very unusual shape and a ring pull. They appear to be original to the chest. Overall the condition of this dresser is very good. The felt is quite old and shows plenty of wear. We have already mentioned that the wood has sustained minor marks dings. And wood worm marks over the years. These are part of the antique dresser with slide’s charm and do not affect the integrity of the structure of the chest. These marks are found all over the piece. The top was made of two boards of oak and over the years they have shrunk ever so slightly so there is a slight gap at the ends. No key remains for the drawers. The

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK VANITY DRESSER(1) Fantastic antique. Oversized Victorian period oak vanity dresser. This piece was probably manufactured by Karges and it will date into the 1870s-1880s period. The best part about this piece is that it is has not been refinished or altered since it was manufactured. The photo speaks for itself. This piece is massize measuring approximately 94" tall and 53.5" wide. Good luck finding another of this quality and size. Aside from a few minor flaws to the top and dulling of the finish, I can't fault this piece. Considering the age, I would give this a 8 or 9 out of 10. Antique Victorian Dresser & Mirror w/ Hidden Drawer Walnut & Oak 1800s
Offered for sale is this 19th Century Victorian dresser and Mirror combo made from Oak. Walnut and Poplar. To the best of my knowledge it has not been refinished. The number"81" is stamped into the back of the mirror in two different places. I can find no other markings. Hidden drawer has at one time had the bottom replaced with newer thin plywood. It is only visible when pulled out and upside down. Dimensions are Width-39 Depth-20 Height-73* When unlatched. The mirror tilts forward and backward. Drawers all operate smoothly.
