When I wanted to use it(as it is shown) to display my green depression glass, the glass shelves displayed that beautifully. It is a solid oak piece with all the original hardware and original beveled mirror. We did add the glass shelves. They were missing when we purchased this piece many years ago. It has a drop leave desk that hides all the little cubbies and small drawer. There is a storage closet and a larger drawer under the drop leave desk. We have the original key and it still works. There is intricate detail you can see if you zoom in. We are moving so most of our treasures need to be sold. I PREFER PICK UP ONLY. I LIVE 25 MILES FROM BINGHAMTON. NEW YORK OR 50 MILES FROM SCRANTON PA. If you have a true interest please e mail me and I will post more pictures. You will not be disappointed with this fine antique. It is worth 3 x my opening bid. There is an ink(I think it is ink) stain on the bottom of the drawer. I have not tried to remove it and it has been there since we bought it. There is a tiny mark on the top(under the mirror) that looks like a tiny burn mark or mark of some kind. The key is meant to fit three doors. It works fine on the glass door that encloses the glass shelves and it also works fine on the drawer under the desk top. The mechanism is missing to lock the large door under the desk top. The piece is numbered with"172" carved into the wood inside the large storage area under the desk top. The original paper work is still attached to the back of the piece giving care instructions and stating that it was made in the LARKIN plant#

The stand ... moreitself is constructed of oak and is in very good antique condition save for a few age appropriate marks on it- there is one small splash of paint near the top on one leg. The original splint basket does have a few splits in it but is not compromised in durability from these flaws. There is a small section of the top exterior rim missing. There is one ball foot missing from the underside of the basket but it doesn't seem to affect the stability as it sits in the stand. The stand measures 27" tall and about 13 1/2" wide at the outside edge of the legs. The basket has an inside diameter of 10" and measures 3 3/8" deep. the stand is unsigned and I am guessing it dates from about the 1920's. While I make every effort to give an accurate description. This very unusual item is a custom-made tiger sawn oak extremely rare five-drawer. Double hatbox lock-side dresser that probably dates from ... morethe 1890s. It came out of the home of a dear friend of mine who died about 15 years ago. And who had a great collection in his home. He bought this chest a long time ago, and would never sell it. This piece will remind you of a Harvard dental cabinet, the way it’s made on the side panels. I could spend probably 30 minutes describing it, but the pictures will do it more justice. When you open the two serpentine paneled beaded molding doors on top, it reveals a shelved compartment, and below that are five serpentine front drawers with beautiful heavy cast-brass hardware that is all intact. You’ll notice there are no keyholes on any of the drawers. This is because when the doors are opened, there is a hidden panel on which you push a lever and it locks all the drawers. They are unlocked the same way. The chest has many fine details, including a wonderful detailed backsplash that could probably be sold by itself for $300. It has seven raised panels on each side, a French braided spade foot, clamshell carving on the base, cutout fretwork on the skirt, a beaded molded edge with a few pieces of beading missing, and is in overall really excellent original condition

Tonight's Buy It Now Item is a Large Solid Oak One Inch Thick Fancy Mirror HARP w\ gingerbread which is all intact. Because of the largeness of the harp I took the 2 ends off from the center piece which will make it very easier to package and save on the shipping price significantly. I was hoping it would come apart easily and it couldn't have come off better. There are 2 dowels on each end and they slide right out with just a couple taps. Don't use a regular hammer. Either a rubber hammer or put a rag folded up between the wood and a regular hammer would be a better choice. When putting it together all you have to do is put a little glue on the dowels or put a couple brads in from the back where the dowels are. All the gingerbread is intact on it and the whole unit is in terrific condition. This oak mirror harp came from a beautiful ... morebeach house and the harp was in an old carriage shed on Lake George in the Adirondacks of New York where I picked it up several years ago. It's got a brown medium oak stain on it, which pretty much matches the original color. If you have any other questions about this oak harp, I'd be happy to answer your emails. Shabby Chic 1890's Antique Oak Dresser
This 1890's quaint old oak wash stand with smaller side cabinet is a lucky find and a rare piece. The design is not typical and would not have been available if it were not for some condition issues which have been remedied. The back was cobbled together with braces(solid plywood now reinforces the structure) and the lower cabinet top was gone(new oak matching cap) The hardware is all original and in great shape. As are the drawer bodies. The lower cabinet originally was meant for a chamber pot and is in good shape for its age. Wash stands used to be a common bedroom fixture around the turn of the century before many houses had running water and indoor plumbing. This piece has been lovingly updated with a custom aged finish which will work easily with almost any decor. This piece measures 41"wide x 21"deep x 31"tall.

It has the classic Yoke-Stand and Framed Beveled Mirror with prominent carved appointments, all in the original natural oak wood. It is a Four-drawer dresser, and the top bank of drawers are the classical double-bow-front. This Dresser is well over 100 years old. And its construction is truly frontier-old school, and features absolutely ZERO plywood or particleboard. It is all SOLID Oak Wood, and the only'veneer' is the facing on the Bow-Front Drawers. The floriated carving details are also solid oak, and were applied with'brad&glue' The Mirror Glass is original and beveled. It is starting to show a few minor age spots in the silvering. This is an Antique Late 1800's Victorian Natural Tone Oak Dresser with Original Brass Drawer Pulls and Key Locks/ Hardware. 44.5 inches wide x 33 inches tall x 19.5 inches deep. Has 4 dovetail drawers and metal caster wheels. Key to the locks is unavailable. The lower drawer bottom has been replaced. All drawers are opening and closing properly. Item is structurally sound for it's age. Caster wheels are all rolling. Top back right corner has a slight warp on the tabletop with separation and a small crack. Shouldn't be a problem for most. It's not noticeable when standing against a wall. Item was lightly sanded and clear varnished in the mid 1970's. Small top drawers are 18 inches wide x 5.5" tall. Good condition, Old and beautiful are two words we throw around quite a bit in the antique furniture world and this dresser is both. Made during the reign of King George III in England sometime around 1800. This chest of drawers is a wonderful piece of history. The primary wood used is English oak which has grown so lovely over the last 200+ years. The cut of the oak was such that the grain that displays is intricate and gorgeous. ... moreAn inlay of mahogany compliments the oak around the top and drawer fronts. The mahogany banding is actually slightly darker than the oak giving quite a nice contrast. The front vertical corners of the chest were canted and a fluted column carved into them. This combined with the shapely ogee bracket feet provide the chest with some softening and keep it from looking too square and sharp. Very nice plate back brass handles adorn each drawer and the key holes on the larger drawers. Being over 200 years old there is surprising little wear to discuss on this dresser. There is no key and the bottom and second drawer down no longer have locks. Each drawer is fashioned with hand cut dovetails as you would expect and they open and close easily when you use the handles. The small top drawers each have a small piece missing from their lower outside corners(bottom left on the left drawer and bottom right on the right drawer) They are small but you will see them if you look closely in the pictures. Finally there are age gaps between where the boards were joined on the top and sides. This is normal and expected as moisture leaves the piece over time these boards shrink. They are not sp

for auction is a very nice hanging shaving stand. it is a wall mount model which are fairly hard to come by. this piece is of quartersawn oak and has nice carving on the bottom splash under the serpentine drawer.
