RARE Talleres Monastico Mexico Sterling Silver & Wood St. Patrick
This beautiful Talleres Monastico Sterling Silver& Wood plaque of St. Patrick stepping on a snake is very hard to find on the market. The figure of St. Patrick is sterling silver. The halo appears to be brass and the metal behind the snake appears to be copper. But I do not know that for sure. It carries the Mexican hallmark of.925 Talleres Monastico Mexico(see photo) CONDITION: Good. There is discoloration around the figure from silver polish. I think that can be restored without damage to the metalwork. You can also see bits of silver polish and silver tarnish on St. Patrick. There are no missing parts. Splits, or cracks. There are the usual minor dings and nicks in the wood- primarily on the back- from age and use. Examine photographs carefully. They were taken with micro-focus lens with two different lighting situations. The brighter ... moreshots show the wood discoloration, polish bits, and tarnish. But they have a pinkish reflection that is not discoloration of the silver. The darker photos show the condition of the silver without the pinkish reflection. VINTAGE RELIGIOUS WOOD ART PLAQUE 19X13 Mountains "Eternal God is Thy Refuge"
Made by Dickson's Art(which has been in business for 69 years) Seymour, Indiana, this vintage slab of real wood with bark still around edge(possibly pine) measures 19.5" across x 13.25" high. Comes with chained hanger. It is a transfer of a mountain scene, with the quote, The Eternal God is Thy Refuge. Then is was varnished. Looks like it was made in the 1940s or early'50s. Although Dickson's still exists as a shop of faith items, it doesn't appear to be making these plaques any longer when I took a look at its items on the Internet. See photo for the slight bubbling near top. There is also a small vertical area where, if the light is right, the varnish looks slightly lighter than the rest(see photo- but I had to tip it to catch the right slant of light- i doubt it will show if on your wall) There is light crackling ... moreof the varnish, which only enhances it in my opinion. JESUS, THE GOOD SHEPHERD WOOD-LOOK WALL PLAQUE 13.25 X 6.25
This very attractive plaque of Jesus. The Good Shepherd. Is done in two complimentary wood tones. The darker. High relief, figure of Christ has sharp detail throughout. At first, with layers of dust, I thought that the relief portion was wood, but after a good cleaning I have come to the conclusion it is more likely a synthetic. The backing board is a fine texture particle board. The lower left corner has a chip. Which fades nearly away by using"Old English" dark wood polish on it. Photos number 8& 9 show the before and after of the corner. The face surface of the back portion is a little pebbly, but fades into irrelevant when you focus on the Christ figure. The reverse side of the board is in excellent condition and smooth. The attachments, joining the two pieces are imbedded below the surface so they will not scratch. Some ... moreof the pictures appear to be identical. But are taken at slightly different camera angles to try to bring out the detail. At a scant 13.25 inches by scant 6.25 inches. Lovely "The Evening Prayer" Boy And Dog Burnt Wood Plaque
Oh my is this just a cute fun everyday life picture. I am an amateur and will be honest about this and will explain it to the best of my knowledge and if you have any questions please ask. This is a wonderful vintage and rustic cute lil boy and his amazing dog at bedtime kneeling for their evening prayer. The measurements are L 11 X W 12 3/4. the condition is worn with some scratches thru out and wrinkles and some chipping along the edges. It has been burnt along the edges and glued or lacquered to the wood board. the wood board has some wear and beautiful wood designs throughout. There are some scratches and could be refinished by the right person. There is a small hanger on the top for you to hang as well. Antique Etched Mirrored Glass-On-Wood Silver Toned Repousse LAST SUPPER
This is an exquisite rendition of The Last Supper in raised metal relief. In a rare and ornate antique glass, wood, and mirrored frame. Stunning detail in the etched mirror under glass, and the silver toned wooden scrolls in deep relief attached to each corner, and center top and bottom scrolls and medallions. The sculpture proper depicts Jesus Christ, and all of the Apostles. On viewing close up, each Apostle is identified on the lower edge of the tablecloth. When you step back, it looks like the pattern of the tablecloth. It is all securely attached to a thick wooden frame, which is scrolled exactly the same as if it were carved from one piece. I can find no artist or maker's mark. The back is covered in a reddish mahogany heavy wood grain veneer. Which has 2 small missing pieces on top and bottm right hand corner. The veneer is also ... morelifting somewhat in this same area. There is also a few small scratches on the back. This piece measures 15" wide x 10" high x 1/2" thick. I cannot guess what type of metal. It is silver toned. The etched mirror under the beveled glass layer appears to be silvered. Please look at all the pictures provided, it helps immensely with the description.

This piece was originally purchased in Israel. This is a solid Sterling Silver plaque of Jesus Christ mounted on an olive branch. The Silver was made and stamped in Itlay. The item was taken to Bethlehem to be mounted on an olive branch which gives it the Israel origin. I do not know the exact weight of the Sterling Silver however it is a SOLID 3 DIMENSONAL PIECE that measures 3 1/2 inches long and 2 1/4 inches in width. The complete piece branch and all measures 5 1/2 inches in height and bottom is 3 inches in diameter.

Originally from Shrine of St Jude Thaddeus. Chicago(Judging by the wall Illinois is abbreviated in the old way"Ill. and with no zip code. I'd say this predates the early 1960's) The Stations graphics appear to be printed on paper which has been affixed to the wood plaque and sealed over. Then the small wood Cross has been glued on top. May have originally been meant for a shut-in who could not go to the church to make the Stations. There's a lot of detail in the small pictures. And each station is named as well as numbered.
