WW II book by Norton Company, Worcester Mass honoring employees killed in action
Large format hardback copy of"Under Our Flag" Approximately 11.25" x 8.75" pages not numbered but easily more than 100. Very nice and somber memorial book published in 1948 by the Norton Company in Worcester, MA to honor the memory of the 61 employees who died during WW II. There is a nice artist's drawing of each deceased man and a short description of the details of his death. Some died of illness or injuries during training, but most deaths occured in combat. Evidently the Norton Company was, and still is, very large. Over 2,500 men and women employees left to serve in the military during WW II. In the back is a complete roster of all employees and the branch of service they served in. Overall book is only in fair to average condition. It looks like the cover may have been wet at one time and there is some wrinkling ... moreand a slight bend to the cover and lower right corner. However, the binding and spine is still nice and tight. All pages are intact, attached, and undamaged. No rips, tears, or writing inside. Nice piece of history. Thanks for looking.

Original German WW2 Missal printed in 1939 but with a handwritten inscription from 1941. A very nice item for the German WW2 personal items collection or display and great for a German Army Catholic Chaplain collection or display. It shows some wear but is solid and in good shape with no tears or missing pages(remember this is basically a 74 year old bible. It is in both German and Latin language. It measures 6 1/8 x 4 1/8 x 1 1/4" with over 1000 pages.

Unused Antique Ledger Book "Letters" - Davis & Furber Machine Co - Mass.
This auction is for an unused. Antique Ledger book. This book was saved by my family and passed along to me. I believe it was made for the Davis Furber Machine Company in North Andover Mass. Their initials(D. F. M. Co) are printed on the spine. This company manufactured textiles. Inside there is a label from the L. E. Muran Co. Stationers in Boston. I don't know the vintage of this book- perhaps early 1900's( I am not a collector. But I think the spine and corners are leather. Inside the book there is a lined page for each letter of the alphabet, followed by 501 pages(hand-stamped) made of VERY thin tissue paper. For fear of ripping these pages, I did not confirm that they are all there. The book measures approx 12" x 10" x 1" Please consider photos as the remaining description. It was printed in Illinois in 1912, and this particular copy was donated to the Massachusetts General Hospital's Treadwell Library. It was withdrawn from service at some later date, but it still retains the nice Treadwell book plate on the inside front cover. 250 pages, 8'x6' the hardcover binding is fraying just a tad along the edges, nothing serious. This still bank is in the form of a book. On the front cover it states"Fall River Five Cents Savings Bank 79 North Main St. Fall River. Mass. along with an embossed picture of the bank itself. On the back cover it states"Stability Mutual Savings Banks Of Massachusetts" On the spine it states"Save And Have Benjamin Franklin VIII" The pages are gold toned and the statement"For Coins And Currency" is above the coin slot. On the opposite end is the maker's mark"Banker's Utilities Co. San Francisco USA Patented July 3, 1923" This bank measures 4 5/8" long, 3 3/8" wide, and 1" thick. It is missing its key, so I am unable to open it. It is in good, but used, condition. It exhibits some wear and tear, as shown in the photographs, but looks cool with the wear/patina. The GAR Medal has the campfire on the reverse of the top bar. and patent dates of May 4. 1885 and June 22 1886. Serial# is C 3474. The medal is in VG condition with some gilt remaining. It was found in the pocket of this 1863 Diary which was used as an Account Book presumably by Private Charles Dimmick of the 16th and 11th Mass Infantry. Priest estate high end 5 count gold gilded pages mass book lot
Up for auction is an extremely nice lot of 5 count priest high end mass books all with gold gilded pages. This vintage lot is in fantastic condition with all books being very clean. They derive from a large prestigious priest estate and are from the 1950's. The gold gilded pages really make them beautiful. They are truly high end with good value. It is hard to find them in this great condition. There is a name written neatly in pen on a couple of the books inside page but does not detract at all. I will be very surprised if you will find any of these anywhere on e-bay. This is an original list of ships which were registered in the District Of Barnstable.Massachusetts from 1814 to 1913. The information was compiled from the original documents stored in the New Bedford Customs House back in 1938 as part of the National Archives Project which was done under the Works Progress Administration. The time and effort which was done to complete the project was enormous. There are 163 pages of information the names of ships, the Captains and owners, the size of the ship and all other relative information regarding the ships. It is a necessary reference book for anyone interested in such information. It will only be offered once. If it does not sell during the next 7 days it will go back into storage for another few years.

This auction is for one vintage Scrap Book. It is a lovely shade of green and has not been used. However. It is vintage and shows minor signs of wear on the front cover. There are small indentations on the cover. Probably as a result of an object resting on top of it over the years. The last four pics were taken in close-up mode. The book measures about 12 1/4 inches x 12 3/4 inches. It was manufactured by the Springfield Photo Mount Co. in Holyoke, Massachusetts. I am unsure of the age.
