Today I am listing a pair of triple light candelabra made by Ellis Barker. A versatile set. These break down into 14 pieces. You can have high, low, triple light, single light candle sticks.whatever your tablescape demands. I am guessing these to be from the 1940-60's. There are no dings or dents, no monograms or removals although there is a very small amount of bloom on some high spots. Most are covered by the removable bobeche, the worst is seen in picture# 11. If I was that concerned, it could always be sent away to be spot plated, but those kind of things don't really bother me. I gave them a quick cleaning to show the condition. I'm not sure if this is silver or silver plate it is very heavy and is stamped S on the bottom edge. It is marked Barker Ellis made in England with a candlestick. The tray was originally a trophy Commodore Dudley gambling Memorial trophy international snipe winter championship Second place skipper Royal Nassau sailing club Nassau Bahamas 1973. This tray is dirty and needs to be cleaned and polished it has scratches and scraps but no major damage. I purchased a large lot of Yachting and Sailing trophies etc and this was in the lot. English Sterling Silver Tea pot, Birmingham 1970, Barker Ellis Silver Co
We are selling this fantastic Sterling Silver teapot/hot water pot that was made by Barker. Ellis Silver Co in 1970 Birmingham, England. Interesting item and I believe that it was made as a replica of a very popular Art Deco Design that was made in a base metal or EPNS. We where surprised that this tea pot was only made in the 1970's as the style indicated an earlier period. So it always pays to double check the hallmarks! The hallmarks are very crisp and clear to the top of the pot and also to the rim of the lid. The pot has the: makers mark in a shield( B E S co) Next Birmingham- Anchor, next- Lion Passant and date letter'V' for 1970. The lid only has the lion and Letter V. The weight of the pot is 392.5g Height: 16cm width: 15cm overall. It is solid Sterling silver with a finely bound wicker handle that covers the sterling ... moresilver handle to reduce the transfer of heat. The pot size is good for 2 cups of tea. Or it could be a hot water pot as the lid can be turned around to have so that the tea leaf strainer is facing the back not the spout. please see photos. The stand is marked on two of the feet as shown. The cut glass bowl in very good condition-just one small flake chip on the outer edge of the top edge. the bottom outside of the bowl has some small scratches from use without the stand. Beautiful. Figural lions' heads with ring handles decorate both sides of this heavy silver on copper piece with beautifully crafted reeding on urn and on the original burner. Four reeded legs end in paw and claw feet, each resting on a stand platform that is supported by four ball feet. The front and back of the urn are decoratively engraved with wreaths(in which there are no monograms) connected by festoons of olive leaf garlands. Birmingham)Ltd. The Biscuit Box is engraved with scrollwork and flowers front and back with a vacant cartouche where a monogram may be added. The hinge works smoothly and the lid closes well; the interior looks clean. Light scratches on the rim of lid from use. Good condition. No dents. I see one scratch on the saucer and light scratches throughout, perhaps from cleaning in the past. A number 5 is stamped on the inside of the lid near the hinge. I don't know what this means. Description this is a rather nice quality oval drinks tray with exquisite chased decoration. Fancy openwork pierced decoration and bead border, it is marked on the base as per fifth photo, denoting the silversmiths as the well renowned Barker Ellis, there are no other identifying marks however we deem this handsome tray to date from c.1900-1940 or thereabouts, so in our opinion, and opinion is subjective, there are no major issues, other than aforementioned, as there are no dents or repairs, just normal surface scratches dings dimples and blemishes commensurate with age and use, but please look at photos to make up your own mind: height: 1"2.5cms overall length: 14 1/8"36cms width: 9 5/8"24.3cms We give this description to the best of our ability. Antique Ellis Barker Silver Plate Dome Covered Warming Plate 1900-1925
This ELLIS BARKER 6 5/8" warming plate has a twist off cap on side. This allows you to fill the bottom compartment with warm water to keep the food warm. There is a beautiful elegant dome with a decorated finial. The same decoration is around the outer rim of the plate. The plate is marked, on bottom, England and with the MS letters in a shield- this dates to about 1910-1925. There is some usage wear because of age and use. Please See Photo's)

Offered is an exquisite Ellis Barker Epergne. It is an early 20th century ornate silver plate epergne with four rotating arms and is marked with Ellis Barker’s trademark“Menorah” The centerpiece is of pedestal form with four extending arms that rotate. At the end of each arm is a matching silver bowl. I have four additional cut glass inserts that fit into the four arm silver bowls. All pieces are removable and will be shipped disassembled. This centerpiece was decorator selected mid-century for a prominent Dallas family. Pre-owned. Pre-used and pre-loved this piece still retains its beauty. I am leaving the polishing to the winning bidder. This Epergne is approximately 9.25” tall x 20.5" wide. The diameter of the large top bowl measures about 9.5” and the small silver cups are about 5” across. The total weight is about 10 pounds. You are bidding on a silver plated. Serving tray by famous quality English Silversmiths Barker Ellis of Birmingham. A beautiful long, rectangular tray with beautiful ornate and detailed cast of grape and vine leaf decoration to the stepped border. The tray itself is decorated with a very nice ornate and detailed, chased, scrolling flower and fern pattern. The centrer of this pretty pattern is a rare, vacant cartouche, ideal for you to personalise this yourself if you so wish. Complete with two useful scroll handles to each side of the tray also with superb decoration and set on 4 bun feet. Measures 25.5" long(incl handles) 20" long(not incl handles) x 10" wide approx. Vintage English Silver Plate Five Piece Barker Ellis Tea Set
Vintage English Silver Plate Five Piece Barker Ellis Tea Set. The bases of the pieces are stamped with the Barker signature menorah mark and the word England. There is a teapot(8” tall) a covered sugar& a creamer(each 4.5 tall” a waste bowl(4.5” wide) and footed biscuit tray(7.5” in length) The items have a faceted design with a simple border. The set is in good condition with some fine scratching and a minor dent on the tea pot and one on the sugar bowl. These really don't show in a photo. There is no evidence of silver loss. The group will make a beautiful display on a buffet. The maker was founded in 1860 as Barker Brothers of Birmingham England and pieces by this company were sold in the States under the name Ellis Barker.
